Privacy Policy
We keep this simple. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and you can always ask us to remove something.
Who we are
Color Me a Story (colormeastory.shop) is the home of the Color Me a Story coloring books by Shruti Dixit. We don't sell anything on this site. Every book is sold on Amazon. You can reach us any time through ourcontact page.
This site is for grown-ups
Our books are for children, but this website is for parents, grandparents, teachers and other adults. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. People who leave a review confirm they're 18 or older, and we ask them not to include a child's name. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Reviews on this site
When you leave a review, we store and publicly show:
- your star rating and review text,
- the display name you choose (we ask for a first name and last initial),
- your child's age, only if you choose to share it,
- the date of the review.
We don't ask for your email address and don't create accounts. Reviews containing links, contact details or strong language are held for a person to check before they appear. We never hide a review because of its star rating.
Removing a review: to ask us to remove a review you wrote, use ourcontact form and choose "Remove a review". Tell us the book and the display name you used. We'll remove it, usually within a few days.
Keeping out spam
Our review and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It looks at signals from your browser and device, and most people never see it. Cloudflare's use of that information is covered by theCloudflare Privacy Policy.
To stop the same visitor from posting too many reviews or messages in one day, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address. It can't be turned back into your address, isn't linked to your review, and is deleted after 24 hours.
The contact form
When you send us a message, we store your name, email address, topic and message so we can read it and reply. We use your email only to answer you. We delete messages once they're dealt with, and in any case within 12 months.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise our books on Facebook and Instagram. To understand which ads help families find us, this site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It records things like which pages you visit here, which book you looked at, and whether you tapped a "Get it on Amazon" button. It uses cookies, and Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it to measure and show ads. Meta's use of this information is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
Your choices:
- Change your ad settings in your Meta Accounts Center.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Controlsignal, we don't load the Meta Pixel at all.
We may also use privacy-friendly website statistics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) that count visits without cookies and without identifying you.
Links to Amazon
Our "Get it on Amazon" buttons take you to Amazon, where every purchase happens. These links include an Amazon Attribution tag, which lets Amazon tell us, in totals only, how many visits and sales came from our ads. They are not affiliate links, and we never see your name, address or payment details. Once you're on Amazon, theAmazon Privacy Notice applies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to remove a review, by using ourcontact form. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have extra rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
